We meet the third Saturday of each month from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at:

Once a month we bring you speakers who are scientists, researchers and in-the-field experts to present topics that uplift your faith in your Creator. The topics answer questions and explore the evidence surrounding the reliability of Scripture, the Creation Account, the global flood of Noah’s day, the complexities and design of biological life and much more. Bring your family and be strengthened in your faith. Know you were created by a loving God.
Refreshments, intellectual stimulation, and a cordial welcome await you. We also have a Creation Book and Video table at every meeting, with a wide selection and discounted prices, including DVDs of past meetings.

The Rise of Theistic Evolution in the Apologetics Community
Phil Fernandes
Dr. Fernandes will be discussing and critiquing a growing trend among “evangelical” Christian apologists—the acceptance of theistic evolution. He will argue that this trends seems to be related to a watering-down of the doctrine of biblical inerrancy. Fernandes will discuss the ideas promoted by the BioLogos movement and Christian philosopher William Lane Craig. Dr. Fernandes will also offer a brief biblical defense of young earth creationism.
Phil Fernandes is the senior pastor of Trinity Bible Fellowship and the founder and president of the Institute of Biblical Defense, an apologetics ministry which trains Christians in the defense of the faith. He also teaches philosophy, religion, and apologetics for Crosspont Christian School, Northwest University (Kirkland, WA), and Veritas International University. Fernandes publicly lectures throughout the country on apologetic issues.
Dr. Fernandes has earned a Ph.D. in philosophy of religion from Greenwich University, a Doctor of Minstry in Christian Apologetics from Veritas International University, and a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University. He has also earned a Master of Theology and a Bachelor of Theology from Columbia Evangelical Seminary. Fernandes also attended Southern Evangelical Seminary, having studied apologetics under leading apologists Gary Habermas, Norman Geisler, and Richard Howe.
Dr. Fernandes is the author of numerous books and resides in Bremerton, Washington with his lovely wife Cathy. They have two grown daughters and three grandsons, and one little great-grandaughter!
